Directions

If your coming from Highway 50 or the Rancho Cordova area heading East toward South Lake Tahoe.

- Exit on Folsom Blvd and stay on your left lane.
- Turn left onto Folsom Blvd
It's a straight shot from here to the lake. It's a slight cruise though. Maybe 6 - 5 miles.
- Stay on Folsom Blvd for about 5 miles
- Turn right on Oak Hill Drive (Is going to say Folsom Lake, Beals Point Campgrounds)

If your coming from the Roseville Area or from Freeway 80 heading East to Reno.

- Exit on Douglas Blvd heading East
- Stay on Douglas Blvd until you hit Folsom-Auburn Rd (Its about 8 miles until you hit Folsom-Auburn Rd
- Turn right on Folsom-Auburn Rd
- Stay on Folsom-Auburn Rd for about 2 miles
- Turn left on Oak Hill Drive (Is going to say Folsom Lake, Beals Point Campgrounds)

That’s right; this is our 4th annual Cruise/BBQ Meet. Last year was tough due to the Labor Day weekend and graduations. This time, I looked at college schedules and if there any holidays during that week. This is the last weekend of Spring Break for college students.

We moved the location last minute last year because the original spot was taken. We’re going to keep it at the same spot this year, Beal Point, the same spot we had it the first two years. I like the original spot because there is a wide open field to play some football or kick a soccer ball. It’s not as close to the lake but its closer to the cars.

I was happy last year a lot of people helped out and cooked. I’m going to ask for some volunteer help again this year. I’m hoping people will contact me to help out. I’m hoping people would bring more sides this year because we barely had any last time. Sides I’m looking for are chips and dip, or salsa, cookies, salad, macaroni salad, beans, potato chips, potato salad, mashed potatoes, cake, etc. We’re going to need sodas and drinks as well.

These meets are huge so it’s a great idea to come along for photos and meeting a lot of people. There will be plenty of food for everyone. We had around 27 to 29 cars last year, I‘m hoping for an even better turnout this year. The BBQ is free; all you have to do is show up and pay the parking. The meet lasts pretty long. It usually ends at sunset. That’s when people leave.

I’m going to attach a few links to the past events and a few maps as well. We usually have a Bay Area Caravan which is fun to cruise with to the event. I’ll post more details later on the meeting spot before entering Beals Point.

Dude, last year was all messed up because the location was changed. I was at granite bay instead of beals point due to the labor day weekend. I changed the bbq spot like 2 hours before the meet. It was always be beals point and will be beals point. This year, I'm not particpating in the cruise because I need to prep the food when you guys get there. Most likely, I'm gonna have one of the bay area peeps setup the cruise.

Wow Edvis I had no idea you made those plans last minute. Last year turned out about the same as 08 so nice work. Especially for such short notice.
