 Double Din system
Anyone have good hook ups or a used Eclipse or Pioneer double din system. Does not have to have navigation but must be touch screen with multi disc and 2 RCA outputs.
Let me know, thanks.

 Re: Double Din system
Exactly, none of this single disc system.

 Re: Double Din system
I'm not sure you're going to find one of those multi-disc capable type receivers in Pioneer brand or Fujitsu-Ten Eclipse. Muti-disc is obsolete now that we are in generation iPod.
Does it absolutely have to be touch screen? For DVD playback or the overall updated touch-screen function found in the new cars? If not, may I suggest the Kenwood DPX503? It's not touch screen, but it has USB inputs, so that you load up some small or large capacity Jump Drives with MP3's. All your music on a Jump Drive. Multiple RCA connections for amps + sub. Had I not bought my Fujitsu Eclipse system, I would have bought the Kenwood hands down.

 Re: Double Din system
why not condense your cd's into mp3s? you can fit almost 9gb of mp3s on a dual layer dvd, or 4.7gb on a single layer. i agree with Gabe too. you're better off buying a HU that can play off an ipod or other usb device.

 Re: Double Din system
I just burn all my mp3s onto CDs, I fit about 200 songs on a CD and most players will read it...regardless I'd just go for something with a hard drive to load music onto.

 Re: Double Din system
Why not just use your phone as an MP3 player and have the search/scroll function find the album art, search by genre, date, category..... etc..... No need for CDs..... but hey, to each his own.... Like Tri said, a pinky-nail sized 8Gb or 16Gb SD card in a phone or MP3 player has way more versatility...... MP3s done right with the right sampling / bit rate come pretty close to CD quality, especially for car/mobile use where noise comes in from windows and floorboards.

 Re: Double Din system
OK so I looked at a few and see what you guys are talking about, I guess I will go for one with a hard drive and just load my CDs up that way.
