 Re: clutch slave cylinder?
It's the slave cylinder. Same thing happened with mine.

 Re: clutch slave cylinder?
Does it sink the the floor and stay there? Seals can go bad in either and cause the same problem.

 Re: clutch slave cylinder?
Is there fluid in the master? If there's a leak in the line you can get the same problems also.

 Re: clutch slave cylinder?
heres another thing you can check if you have a helper, somebody push the pedal while the other watches the slave cylinder/clutch lever for movement. It should travel what about 3/4 of an inch guys?

 Re: clutch slave cylinder?
This type of deal happened to my DSM awhile ago. The Slave Cylinder was out. I was contemplating on spending $50 on buying a brand new slave cylinder but the rebuild kit was for $13 at autozone. I'm not sure how difficult it could be on a 3S but it wasn't so hard on an Eclipse.

 Re: clutch slave cylinder?
slave is easy, 20 mins maybe, master was a little more difficult.

 Re: clutch slave cylinder?
Definitely get the OEM slave kit from Cherry Hill. There's a thread on 3SI discussing how weak the seals are on the aftermarket ones and how many times they had to be replaced.
