 Chat Information Here's some info on our Club's chat room... Times:Chat Hours are Sunday 7pm-12am (peak hours). If you enter and no one is there, stick around, open another browser tab. Most people are doing other things and wont notice a new message for about 10 minutes (I checked the logs  ). You can connect to chat via any of the following methods:- Click Chat above after signing in to the forum.
- Use a third party client such as Trillian (http://trillian.im), mirc, ichat etc. and use the following settings:
Protocol: IRC
Host: irc.mintirc.net
Port: 1337 or default
Nick: Your forum nickname
Name: Anything can go here.
Channel: #norcal3s
If you are using trillian you can't specify a channel. Instead, upon connection type the following and hit enter and you'll be in:
/join #norcal3s
There is also a blackberry, Nokia, iPhone, Windows Mobile, and Android client.
Commands:/join #norcal3s -- Joins the chat room /msg username -- PMs username /nick newnick -- changes nick to newnick !seen username -- Displays the last time username was in the chat If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Re: Chat Information Is there a way to enable sounds- so i can be alerted if someone else comes into the chatroom and i'm on another window?

Re: Chat Information Get trillian, it can flash the task bar, make noise, display the latest message as a notification balloon, whole nine yards.

Re: Chat Information I'm usually there, but people don't stay long/leave before I notice. More reason to spent the two seconds required to install trillian or pidgin and just run it in the background, it'll flash and yelp and have a balloon message and all that.

Re: Chat Information Updated the info above as well as added a html based chat which is a little cleaner and more Edvis friendly. Smileys, links, pastebin, colors, etc. Took me 2.5 hours to integrate it into phpBB though . Cheers!
